The pandemic had everyone reimagining travel. Now there is light at the end of the tunnel and we can finally begin planning, instead of only reminiscing on our past travel experiences. Our OUA Sooners love to travel on the weekends and during their long breaks. Some of their favorite spots for weekend travel or spring break include: Paris, Dublin, Berlin, London, anywhere in Spain, and more. Students get creative with their travels and we've even had students take week-long bike trips through France and work on a farm in Ireland through a program that allows you to earn your stay through farming and other projects.

For myself, I also love to travel. When you study abroad or live (and work) abroad like I do, you tend to prefer spending your money on sight-seeing and new experiences. This is my preference, at least. Students always ask me what my favorite trip was and I never know what to say because each trip is so different. I loved the museums in London, the environment in Lisbon, the peculiarity of Puglia (Southern Italy), the snow in Switzerland, the reflections I had in Romania while driving, the beauty of Norway, and more. I can't pick one "favorite" because each country and city is so unique and special in its own way. One thing we can all agree on is that traveling breaths new life into you and nothing compares to what you gain through these experiences. We can't wait to do it again! I haven't been on plane since the beginning of January 2020--it's time!
